Privacy Policy

Inpani connects customers who need a water tanker with drivers who deliver one. This policy explains what the apps collect, why, and who else sees it. It is written to describe what the software actually does rather than to cover every theoretical possibility.

Who we are

What we collect

Location, specifically

This is the most sensitive thing the apps use, so to be precise:

Location is read only while the app is open, except for one case: while a driver has accepted a delivery, the driver app runs a foreground service that shares the driver's position with that customer so they can watch the tanker approach. A permanent notification is shown the whole time this is running, and it stops when the delivery is completed or cancelled.
Neither app requests background location access.
A customer never sees a driver's location except for a driver delivering their own order, or as an anonymous tanker icon on the map showing that drivers are online nearby.
A driver sees a customer's delivery address only for orders they can bid on or have accepted.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data.
We do not show advertising, and we do not include advertising or analytics SDKs.
We do not take payment in the app. Deliveries are paid in cash to the driver, so we never handle card or bank details.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Who else sees your data

Google Firebase stores the data and handles sign-in and notifications, as our processor. See Firebase privacy.
Mapbox serves the map imagery and driving routes. When a map is shown or a route calculated, coordinates and your device's network address reach Mapbox. See Mapbox privacy.
The other party to your order. A customer and the driver they accept see each other's first name, rating, vehicle details and the messages between them, for that delivery.
We may disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

Order, bid and rating records are kept while your account exists, because they form your history and the driver's reputation. Chat messages and voice notes belong to a single delivery. Expired and cancelled orders are retained as part of that history.

Your choices

Permissions. Location, microphone and notifications are all requested when first needed and can be withdrawn at any time in Android Settings. The apps keep working with reduced function: without location you cannot set a delivery point by map, and without the microphone you can still send text messages.
Deletion. See Delete your account, or email support@inpani.pk from the address or phone number on the account and we will delete it and its personal data. Tell us which app and which account.
Access. Ask us at the same address for a copy of what we hold about you.

Children

Inpani is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored in Google Firebase with access rules that restrict each record to the people involved in it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Changes. If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, tell you in the app.
